    MARTHA KIENE - 1ST VP
Martha is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Army. She has been a beekeeper for 8 years and active as an outreach coordinator for NVBA. She has been a mentor and a Board Member of NVBA. She will be sitting for the Master Beekeeping Exam at EAS this year. When I first met her I was surprised I didn't see a "hard nosed" military person but someone easy to approach and full of creative ideas for the club. Spend time with her and you will sense the military leadership capabilities lying below the surface!

    BRENDA KIESSLING - 2ND VP
Brenda is a semi retired MD and beekeeper for over 40 years. She has been very active in EAS including EAS Master Beekeeper and Director of the EAS Master Beekeepers. She has also been an active member of NVBA since 1984 receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. One of her passions is the 4H beekeeping club she established in 2002. Brenda will bring an incredible database of contacts in the beekeeping world to help us especially with EAS 2018.

    DEB PARKER - SECRETARY
Many of you know Deb from her work as the VSBA meetings Chair and her work with the vendors at those meetings. She has held several leadership positions with her local club - Northern Piedmont Beekeeping Assoc. She and her husband have a hobby farm in Orange, VA. She has been Secretary since 2009. Deb has been a really dedicated and hard working member and officer for VSBA.

    IAN HENRY - TREASURER
Living in Crozet, VA (near Charlottesville) Ian originally hails from Australia. He is a member of the Central Virginia Beekeepers Association. He joined the board in 2015 and has an excellent eye for detail as I discovered working with him on registration for the meetings!

    Keith Tignor - State Apiarist
Keith has been with us a while and has helped guide us in many things administratively. He has a great handle on the history of the organization, the state of bees and  beekeepers in the state and has contributed immensely to the master beekeeping program as well as given many educational programs across the state.

KARLA EISEN - EAS STATE DIRECTOR
Karla has agreed to fill in the rest of the term of EAS State Director for Ann Zudekoff. Ann asked to step down as director but is very much going to be part of the planning process for 2018. Many of you know Karla for her work on nuc programs and honey judging (with her husband George Wilson). She has been a very active member of EAS so I am looking forward to having her as a liaison to EAS.

    Regional Rep Program
Pam is still winding up the details of the rep program but, so far, many local reps have stepped up as well as some regional reps. Look for those individuals at your club meetings and make sure to give them your input. Our club will only be as good as the club members participating.
